Alek Friedman - bio, about...

In 1991 Alek and his family moved to the USA, settling in Los Angeles. While growing up, he liked computers, working with numbers, and was very creative; so, he decided to aim for a Software Development career. He attended CSUN university ; and in late 2000 Alek graduated, earning a Bachelor's degree in Business and Information Technology (with a heavy emphasis in Database Programming).

As time went by, Alek's dream of becoming an actor never faded away. So, In March 2001, he started doing background work - the best way to get into Showbiz. (Victoria K, thank you for all your help!) In early 2004, Alek signed-up with a talent agent, soon getting his first principal role; and onto the upwards spiral! Since then, Alek has worked in TV shows, national commercials, short and feature films, and dozens of Voiceover & ADR jobs. He has a great character look, piercing blue eyes, high energy, unique music sensibility, and outgoing personality; all of which makes him a great addition to Hollywood!

Alek continues to pursue 'Acting', which includes both principal and background jobs, with occasional "Stand-In" and "Photo-Double" gigs, and of course - voiceovers. At the same time, he enjoys Piano Playing at special events, as well as working with clients - doing Software Development .

	Alek feels fortunate to be endowed with technical (not just creative) side, helping him to grow in multiple directions and explore exciting opportunities! * * * Alek was born and raised in Moscow. Since childhood he possessed unique musical talent, with a perfect pitch. At age 6 he started to learn piano, later - xylophone, percussion, and drums (as an adult, he also mastered the guitar). Music has become his passion and lifelong companion. When Alek was 12 years old, an opportunity landed him at Moscow's Gorky Film Studio , where he got his first small role in a movie. That's when Acting became his dream!
